My Amex Business Gold referral invitation offers 22,000 Membership Rewards points when you are approved and spend £3,000 in the first three months of Cardmembership. It is for eligible UK LTD and LLP businesses. There is no annual fee in year one, then £195 a year; terms and status apply.
The short version
Use my referral link, check your eligibility and read the 22,000-point offer before applying. I would only count spending the business already needs and can afford to repay.
My business-owner view of Amex Business Gold
I run Draper Digital and use Amex Business. I look at a business card as a way to manage business spending, with any rewards alongside that. The welcome points are useful only if the spending and ongoing costs work for the business.
My invitation is for Business Gold with Flexible Payment Option. Use the link to check the exact card and offer, because a personal Gold card or a different business offer has different terms.

Open the referral link using the button above. Check that the card and welcome offer match what you expect, and read the conditions on that application page. Keep a copy of the offer and the date your qualifying period begins.
The £3,000 target in my invitation runs over the first three months of Cardmembership. Keep a record of eligible purchases and refunds. A submitted application is not approval, and opening the account is not enough to earn the welcome points.
Apply through my Amex referral linkAccount for the fee and repayment costs
The UK product page lists no annual fee for the first year, then £195 per year. If you use Flexible Payment Option, the displayed purchase rate is 29.1% p.a. variable. This is the purchase rate, not a quoted representative APR.
Paying the entire balance by the statement due date avoids purchase interest under the stated repayment rules. Paying over time incurs interest. The product uses company liability supported by a business personal guarantee, so read those obligations carefully.

Check both card and welcome-offer eligibility
My invitation is for UK LTD and LLP businesses, with an adult director/member as signatory, subject to status. The product page also lists a UK bank or building society account, a permanent UK home address and at least £20,000 annual personal income.
The welcome offer excludes applicants who currently hold, or held within the previous 24 months, an Amex Business Card earning Membership Rewards points. Check the exact product conditions; a personal-card offer or an older Business Charge Card is not interchangeable with this invitation.

Keep points separate from the spending budget
Points are not cash and their value depends on how you redeem them. Make your decision using a realistic redemption you would actually use, rather than the largest theoretical value.
For your own comparison, write down the annual fee, any expected interest, ordinary eligible spending and the value of the benefits you expect to use. If the card is not useful without the welcome offer, consider whether another account would be simpler.
Amex Business Gold referral FAQs
Is there a promo code to type?
My invitation uses a referral link. Start there and check the offer on the Amex application page.
Can I qualify if I have had an Amex Business Card before?
The welcome offer excludes people who currently hold, or held in the last 24 months, a Business Card earning Membership Rewards points.
Are the points free money?
No. You must meet the offer conditions, and card fees or interest can outweigh their value. Read the costs above before applying.

What I receive when you use my Amex link
My invitation awards me 9,000 Membership Rewards points for each approved referral, up to 90,000 points in a calendar year. Your 22,000-point welcome offer is separate and requires the qualifying spending.
These are points, not a cash payment. I keep the fee, repayment costs and spending requirement alongside the offer so you can decide whether it fits your business.
